Fall is here and that means Saints Football Sundays! While I am not a huge football fan, I do truly love all the good things that the New Orleans Saints bring to my favorite city and how excited everyone gets during football season. However, my reasons of loving Sundays in the Fall may be a tad different from the norm. Below are my top 3 reasons of why I love Football Sundays.
The Food
My husband loves to grill, and every Sunday during football season, he is outside grilling up some delicious grub while listening to Bobby Hebert talk on the radio about his favorite New Orleans Saints. From grilling up sausage, hamburgers, and ribs to just eating some delicious buffalo chicken dip, football food is delicious.
Togetherness
Weekends can be chaotic filled with family events, weddings, birthday parties, etc. But, the hours that the Saints play on Sundays are full of family and friends coming together in their black and gold to cheer on their Who Dats! Sure, at times, the TV volume is at 50 because the noise volume of the kids is too loud, and you may be trying to drown out the noise of your crazy uncle who is furious by the outrageous calls from the ref, but everyone is together and having fun (that’s if the Saints are winning of course!).
Me Time
While I’ve already admitted that I’m not that into football, it’s no surprise that I look forward to Sundays because my husband and sons are glued to the tv, and I can easily sneak away for some much needed “me” time. Whether it’s shopping at Target (less crowded stores during game times!), catching up on my DVR, or even sneaking away for a cat nap.
