Bloom 2019 :: Mother’s Day Brunch for New and Expectant Moms

We couldn’t be happier that Bloom, a celebration of all things motherhood specifically designed for new moms and moms-to-be, is back at New Orleans Moms Blog for the 5th year in a row! This popular Mother’s Day event is a favorite for expectant New Orleans moms or those who are thinking of expanding their family. This is indeed a kid-free event, with the exception of young nurslings. As always, we’ll have professionals on hand ready to capture the fun!

Program Sponsors ::

As always, you’ll want to keep the programs from our expectant mother event as there will be special discounts, information and promotions within just for our attendees!

Charity of Choice ::

As we do every year, we have chosen a local charity to partner with. This year we are honored to help support The Junior League of New Orleans Diaper Bank. Guests will donate to the charity of choice by bringing unused, disposable diapers and in exchange, will receive tickets to enter our amazing giveaways.

The intention is to close the diaper gap for women with children and lessen the impact of that need on the emotional and financial health of the women and in turn, their families. Every woman, regardless of her educational, financial, or religious background can empathize with the need we all have to care for our loved ones, particularly children. JLNO’s Diaper Bank will collect diapers and distribute them to organizations that provide direct service to the community.

In order to be eligible to enter giveaways at the event, you must donate diapers. For every diaper donated, you will receive one raffle ticket. Please see below for the  diaper guidelines:

  • Unused disposable diapers can be of any type, size, and brand.
  • Opened packages of diapers are acceptable. Please label them with the size if they are not donated in their original package.
  • Unopened unused wipes and diaper creams are also appreciated.

Please note that we cannot accept cloth diapers.  Many of those in need use public laundry facilities, which do not permit washing cloth diapers for hygiene reasons. Accordingly, this is a disposable diaper collection only.
