Open House – Informational Meeting

We’re hosting an informational meeting for any Jefferson Parish families interested in learning more for about our great school’s 2018-2019 school year, and growth to Pre-K through 12th grade. This meeting will be hosted at our campus, 1407 Virgil St., Gretna at 6PM!

Young Audiences is an arts-integrated K-8 public charter school open to all families in Jefferson Parish. We are the only local school operator with the expertise, nationally-developed and locally vetted arts-integrated curriculum, and community partnerships to provide the whole child, arts-centric educational option. Of particular note is the success of our 2016-2017 third grade class (our first Kindergarten class) outperformed all third grade students attending Jefferson Parish Public Schools on the West Bank, and ranked highly in all Jefferson Parish schools.

Excited by the academic progress of the school’s students, Jefferson Parish Public School System granted YACS a charter extension in June 2017, allowing our school to enroll students Pre-K through 12th in the coming years. Growth in the student body, facilities needs specific to an arts-integrated school, and community demand have necessitated the construction of a new campus which will serve Grades 5 through 9 for the 2019-20 academic year. With 177,000 square feet of warehouse space; amenities include a theater and performance spaces, music studio, state of the art classrooms, green spaces and sports facilities, and art studio spaces.
