One Response to NOLA Moms Need to Know :: New Orleans Activities in June 2018

  1. Emilie Redmann May 31, 2018 at 10:53 am #

Last year, Tulane Summer Lyric Theatre and its outreach program, The Story Road Project, presented its first summer musical, James and the Giant Peach. Our goal is to present quality musical theatre for young people that is accessible to everyone and also promotes reading. We hosted several groups from the Greater New Orleans area and had additional support from area book stores and the New Orleans Public Library.

This year, we will be presenting the regional premiere of a new musical based on the folktale, The Tortoise and the Hare (Tortoise & Hare). The story focuses on themes such as community, acceptance of differences and the importance of tradition, and uses rap, hip hop and pop music to relate to today’s younger people. This is truly entertainment for ALL AGES.

    We only have 8 performances:
    June 7, 8, 14, 15 at 11am and June 9 & 16 at 11am & 2pm.

Location: Rogers Memorial Chapel, Tulane University

Tickets Prices and Information: $6 for children, $12 for adults
If you would like to bring your group, we offer significant discounts for groups of 15 or larger.
