Join French Market for The Annual Mardi Gras Mask Market

As New Orleanians we find our own traditions within Carnival that allow for shared moments with family and friends along the parade route, at a spirited lunch, or an afternoon of revelry in the French Quarter. Carnival in the French Market District is no exception with parades and revelry filling the calendar from Twelfth Night to Mardi Gras Day. Perhaps our favorite tradition to share is the annual Mardi Gras Mask Market, a four-day family-friendly festival showcasing artisan mask makers in Dutch Alley with all the revelry you would expect.

The annual Mardi Gras Mask Market at the French Market will take place in Dutch Alley, at the intersection of Dumaine and Decatur Streets, Friday, February 9th through Monday, February 12th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm daily. To add to the festivities there will be four days of live music such as Little Freddie King, the Storyville Stompers Brass Band, and Smoky Greenwell alongside food and drink booths.
