Delta Festival Ballet (December 22 & December 23) :: DFB’s 35th Anniversary Season of The Nutcracker directed by Joseph and Maria Giacobbe. Christine Shevchenko and Gray Davis of the American Ballet Theatre will be joined by DFB’s outstanding local professionals and a Youth Corps of over 100 young dancers from the Greater New Orleans Area. The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Glenn Langdon, will accompany the performances at Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts.

New Orleans Ballet Theater (December 16, 17th, and 22nd) :: New Orleans Ballet Theatre performs Tchaikovsky’s timeless favorite, The Nutcracker, at the newly renovated Orpheum Theater. The performance will include over 60 young local dancers. Lead roles will be performed by the internationally acclaimed dancers of New Orleans Ballet Theatre. Tickets range from $25-75.

Saenger Theatre (December 26 | 3:00pm and 7:00pm) :: Moscow Ballet’s spectacular Great Russian Nutcracker is the must-see event this holiday season! Celebrate the beloved Christmas tradition with the whole family as world-class Russian artists bring this charming classic to life. Ballet Louisiane (December 1st and 2nd) :: Lelia Haller Ballet Classique’s Ballet Louisiane presents the 11th annual production of The Nutcracker on Friday, December 1st at 7:30pm and Saturday, December 2nd at 2:30pm. River Region Ballet (December 1, 2 and 3) :: The December 1 & 2 performances are at 7:30 pm. The Sugar Plum Matinee performance on Sunday, December 3 at 2:00pm is a shortened version of The Nutcracker created especially for young children. The Sugar Plum Matinee is performed at Destrehan High School, and also features admission to the Sugar Plum Party where guests can mingle with the characters.

Columbia Theatre for the Performing Arts (December 8 & 9 | 7pm) :: Join the Columbia Theatre  in Hammond for their annual performance of the classic Nutcracker Ballet.

Hip Hop Nutcracker at the Saenger Theater (November 28 | 7pm) :: A holiday mashup for the whole family, the Hip Hop Nutcracker re-imagines Tchaikovsky’s classic score with Hip Hop choreography in a way you’ll never forget.
