2017 Guide to Holiday Sips & Shops in New Orleans

Holiday Events at The Shops at Canal Place (Events throughout November and December) ::  Canal Place opens at 8 AM on Friday, November 24th with live music, complimentary coffee, pastries and mimosas until 10:30 AM.  The celebration will continue throughout the day with complimentary Wine and Abita Beer from 1 PM until 4 PM,  and of course … Great Shopping all day!  Shopping Hours:  8 AM until 8 PM Check back for the other fun events going on at Canal Place throughout December!

SHOPAHOLIDAYS at Canal Place (December 14 | 5-8pm) SHOPAHOLIDAYS is the premier holiday shopping event in New Orleans – exclusively for adults! This festive night of holiday shopping and fun is designed to help you prepare accordingly for the holiday season in style. Events includes present wrapping from the helpful elves at our Stress-Free Gift Wrapping Station, complimentary cupcakes and cocktails to lift your holiday “spirits”, live music by Virtuosa, an all-female electric string quartet, gift card giveaways, sales & in-store promotions including refreshments, drawings, and discounts, at select stores.

Downtown NOLA Saturday Shopping Spree (December 2) :: Presented by the DDD, The Outlet Collection at Riverwalk, & Harrah’s Casino New Orleans, the day will be filled with special discounts and all the holiday shopping you could want!

St. Matthew the Apostle Holiday Market (November 18th | 2pm-4pm) :: Crafts, Shopping, and door prizes will be available at this festive and fabulous event!

The Holiday Bazaar by ALG Style (November 26 | 10am-4pm) :: Deck the halls without going to the mall! Join the fabulous teams of ALG style, Cue Magazine, and 25 favorite local boutiques at The Cannery to  sip, shop, and get your groove on!

Sips of the Season Stroll (December 8 | 5pm-9pm) :: The Old Mandeville Business Association presents its 6th Annual stroll through historic Old Mandeville. Fill your mug (pre-purchase required) with signature holiday beverages, do some shopping, and enjoy Trolley rides while getting into the holiday spirit!

sip & ShopsFreret Street Holiday Markets (December 2 & 9 | 12:00pm – 4:00pm) :: The Freret Street Market hosts two markets in December so you can get all of your Holiday shopping done. Live music, food, and dozens of local vendors will be on hand.

Palmer Park Holiday Market (December 16 & 17 | 10:00am – 4:00pm) :: The Arts Council of New Orleans presents the Palmer Park Art Market at the corner of Palmer & Claiborne. Food, fun, and plenty of great handmade gifts  by local artisans will be for sale.

Holiday Market at the Studio School of Dance (November 11 | 9am-3pm) :: Housed in their new studios, adults will get the opportunity to shop and Kids will get a sneak peek at classes, rehearsal and performance pieces. Favorite neighborhood shops alongside independent local artisans will make this event the one you don’t want to miss.

Ringing In the Arts at the Gretna Farmer’s Market (December 2 | 5pm-8pm) :: Mayor Belinda Constant and the City of Gretna invite you to the Second Annual Fine Art Festival celebrating a Victorian Christmas. Join them for an evening of fine art, music, and refreshments in an outdoor gallery against the dramatic backdrop of our quaint, historic city. Featuring well-known local artists Manuel Ponce and Angela Falcone, along with several new break-out artists, creativity will kick into high gear as they showcase a wide variety of mediums and styles. This event is FREE to the public. Bottomless wine and champagne will be available for $20 and there will be a parade of prizes!

NOCCA’s Holiday Marketplace (October 26- December 16) :: The holidays are almost here, and as always, The NOCCA Institute has a host of great goodies for all your gift-giving needs. NOCCA’s Culinary Arts students have created six great treats for family and friends (including the four-legged variety). On their website, you’ll also find ceramics, prints, and other goods to please everyone on your shopping list. Every purchase supports NOCCA’s young artists as they study to become tomorrow’s leaders.

Fair Grounds Holiday Sip & Shop (December 10 | 12pm-4pm) :: This Sip & Shop is returning to the Fair Grounds for the holiday season, guests can sip, shop, and enjoy live racing!

Merry Monograms Holiday Shopping Event at Monogram Express (November 18 | 10am-3pm) :: Crafts, monograms, special appearances by favorite holiday characters, and holiday treats will all be available at this Merry Event!
