4th of July Family Friendly Fun in NOLA

Grab your red, white and blue and head out for these family friendly 4th of July events in and around New Orleans!

4th of July

June 30th

Sparks in the Park (6/30): Bring your chairs, picnic baskets and blankets and enjoy patriotic music and fireworks at Bogue Falaya Park from 7-9PM.

July 1st

Slidell Heritage Festival (7/1): The 20th Annual Slidell Heritage Festival at Heritage Park. Hours are from 4-11 and fireworks are at 9.

U.S. of Play Celebration (7/1): Celebrate our great American nation at a patriotic party! Enjoy all things red, white, and blow with hands-on activities, stories, and crafts! Play balloon tennis, paint firework crafts, enjoy red, white, and blue foods, and much more! Hours for this celebration are 11-3PM.

Light Up the Lake: An Independence Day Celebration (7/1): Join the city of Mandeville from 4:30-9PM to celebrate Independence Day! Kick off the day with a special tribute to the military, followed by entertainment featuring Supercharger and Peace of Cake.

July 3rd

Uncle Sam Jam (7/3): Head on over to Lafreniere Park for a free patriotic party featuring live music and fireworks. The event starts at 4:30PM with fireworks at 9:15PM.

Happy 3rd of July (7/3): Bring your chairs and blankets and enjoy patriotic music with The Marine Corps Band New Orleans on the Goldring/Woldenberg Great Lawn and fireworks at the Peristyle.  City Park will begin selling concessions at 5pm, music begins around 7, and fireworks from the Peristyle will be at 9pm.

St. Charles Parish Independence Day Celebration (7/3): St. Charles Parish will celebrate its annual Independence Day event with a performance by the Bucktown All-Stars from 6-9 p.m. July 3 at the West Bank Bridge Park, 13825 River Road, Luling LA 70070. A fireworks show will follow the performance at 9 p.m.

July 4th

Go 4th on the River (7/4): Free dueling barges fireworks show on the New Orleans Riverfront.

Madisonville Old Fashioned 4th of July (7/4): Family fun for all including a parade, food, games and fireworks. Event starts at 2PM and fireworks are at 8:30PM.

Light Up the Sky (7/4): Head on over to Zemurray Park in Hammond from 5-9PM for fireworks, food and even miniature train rides!

    Crescent City Farmers Market “Farm to Fourth” Market. Petting zoo, NOFD truck demonstration, face painting, live music, lots of food and games.

    The Baby Cakes also have a game on the Fourth with specials on hot dogs, beer and ice cream and a fireworks show after the game.
