Love Swimming

****IMPORTANT NOTE :: Love Swimming does not host traditional camps, rather Love Swimming is an exclusive swim school. Ready your child for a safe and fun summer, at camp and at home, now!****

Love Swimming is your best resource for ensuring kids are prepared for camp swimming this summer! At summer camps, beaches and pools, large groups of children can make it difficult for counselors and lifeguards to provide perfect supervision. At Love Swimming, we will make sure your kids are as prepared as possible for all types of swimming situations! Large groups of young children have very different swimming backgrounds, which makes it difficult for counselors and lifeguards to provided adequate supervision. At Love Swimming, we will make sure your children are at the top of their swim game!

During summer, we also offer week-long classes where swimmers can come every weekday for 30 minute lessons (in addition to our year-round weekly classes), which is a great way to accelerate your children’s readiness for wildly fun summer and camp swimming. Our saltwater, indoor pools are warm so that every minute of our lessons are effective (no getting used to the chilly water and no rainouts). We start learning life saving skills the minute we enter the pool. And our teachers are beyond compare to other programs–just ask around or read our reviews!

Do you know of any camps for toddlers that work with children with autism?

Hi! Just curious about this as well; camps whom work with toddlers with autism.

I’m in the process of composing the Families Helping Families Guide to Summer Fun and it will have a list of camps for children with autism as well as other disABILITIES. It should be ready within the next couple weeks. For now, Crane Rehab Pediatrics has a summer camp Speech n Motion, Therapeutic Learning Center, and Within Reach NOLA are a few to name for now.

The only place I’ve found is Crane Rehab Pediatrics. They have a summer program which info can be found on their website.

What do parents do for the month of August? Our child’s school doesn’t start up again until first week of September.

    • Karen Jacobs May 15, 2017 at 12:10 pm #

Were you able to find a program to assist you Ariane?

      • ariane May 15, 2017 at 12:19 pm #

I’m afraid not. Looks like we’ll just have to find a babysitter for August? Do you have any other suggestions? We’re new to the area, so what is the best way to locate a local sitter, should we have to go that route?

        • Amanda May 17, 2017 at 2:48 pm #

Try Green Acres country club in Metairie. They do a camp that runs through the second week of August! My daughter went last year and loved it.
