NOMB 4th Annual Mom's Night Out

Wedding Party Recap

Our event on Saturday, August 27 was a BLAST to say the least! Imagine 500+ women, mostly moms, decked out in our “wedding party” finest, which ranged from bridal gowns to bridesmaid dresses to wedding guest and everything in between dancing the night away to the finest wedding music.

We want to thank all of you for spending your Saturday night with us and totally getting into the theme of the evening; we were blown away by the creativity in your wardrobes. It is humbling to see how many of you came ready to party with us, and we were all truly excited to meet those of you who read our content. To be able to party with our virtual New Orleans friends is part of why we do what we do, and it is what makes us a true local parenting website for New Orleans.

So thank you for coming and for getting into the spirit!

The Pre-Party :: Thank You to Head Games Hair Salon

We have to start with a standing ovation and a HUGE thank you to Head Games Hair Salon (conveniently located on Veterans Boulevard, near Lafreniere Park) for the amazing hairstyles for our team. They were timely, professional, friendly, quick, and super talented, which is all you want and need in a New Orleans hair salon. Some of us have already been back for regular hair cuts and color and can’t say enough nice things!

We nibbled on a variety of delicious food from City Greens & Zoë’s Kitchen, both of which we highly recommend for catering your next New Orleans gathering or just for your general pre-prepared lunch and dinner options.

Thank you to Our Gracious Hosts New Orleans Museum of Art

When the staff of NOMA invited us into their iconic venue for a second time, to say we were thrilled and honored would be an understatement. They allowed us access to a grand piece of historic New Orleans culture. We had a blast in 2015 and were so very excited to host our annual 2016 MNO at the iconic NOMA again. It was a perfect New Orleans wedding venue, start to finish.

Thank You to Our Co-Title Sponsors :: Touro Infirmary and Children’s Hospital New Orleans

For four years running we have worked with both Touro and Children’s Hospital to produce this anticipated New Orleans event, and it has been our absolute pleasure. Our team has had extensive personal experiences at both hospitals (everything from delivering our bundles of joy to broken legs and surgery), and we are delighted that our readers often share similar positive experiences with our title sponsors. Our events simply would not be possible without their sponsorship. Second lining in your wedding gown for a 2nd time would not have been possible without their involvement, so I speak for our entire team and the 500 beautiful moms in attendance when I say “THANK YOU!”

Stopping by the Children’s Hospital and Touro tables is always a good idea! This year, they were pleased to offer FULL SIZE Shea Moisture sugar scrub and Kleenhanz on-the-go packs!

Thank you to The Amazing Party Rentals Delivered Team

With dozens of party rental companies out there, and our team has extensive experience with several, we can say with complete confidence that Party Rentals Delivered is a unique New Orleans rental company with amazing customer service, perfect attention to detail and the ability to manage 50+ vendors in a location with limited power access and proximity to artwork restrictions.

Party Rentals Delivered did all of that with grace and impeccable timing. They created an event for us that served all of our sponsors’ needs AND went above and beyond ensuring compliance with an art gallery’s obvious obstacles in placing sponsors near artwork. Are you planning a party or event in New Orleans? Our friends at Party Rentals Delivered have earned our VERY highest recommendation, which is a gold star coming from our team of Type A party planners. We try not to miss a detail, and Party Rentals is the same way. Bravo to Robynn and her team! Did you check out their table? They were serving full cans of La Croix!

Thank you to Let’s pARTy NOLA and Kissyfish

Our attention to detail is matched by those who partner with us. Let’s pARTy NOLA created the gorgeous name tags guests were given as they entered NOMA, as well as the signage around the event, props for the photo booth AND the selfie-station. Melissa deals with our last minute event changes with grace but always delivers on time. Kissyfish, the incredibly talented graphic designer (and local New Orleans mom), always creates one-of-a-kind graphics to set the tone for all of our New Orleans events and does so with an impeccable turnaround time.

Thank You to the Lovely Ladies of ALG Style

The ladies of ALG Style never disappoint! They hosted a bridal portrait session captured by the fabulous Rachel Kuivinen Photography. We cannot say enough how much we adore these ladies, as both sponsors and friends. They always go all out for the event theme, and they pay incredible attention to detail. The photos honestly speak for themselves!

ALG Style is also available for your own personal New Orleans shopping and outfitting needs in “real life,” so whether you need a Mardi Gras ballgown, a Halloween costume to end all costumes or a few new fall staple pieces … these are your gals. They are honest, approachable, kind and affordable … they know how to make the most of what’s in your closet already, as well as where to shop for any budget or lifestyle.

Thanks to Our Sponsors that Satisfied our Sweet Tooth

4mno5A wedding party would not be complete without a cake. The superbly talented Boca Dulce created not one, but THREE different three-tiered cakes that were show stoppers for sure. These cakes speak for themselves and showcase the talent that is Boca Dulce. If you are looking for a beautiful custom cake in New Orleans that tastes as delicious as it looks, we highly recommend Boca Dulce. She is one of the sweetest vendors (pun intended) and will stop at nothing to make your cake dreams a reality.

The sweets did not stop there. We had delicious pretzel crunch from Truly Southern, custom cookies from Essie’s Sparkling Confections, cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes, and our favorite snoballs from Plum Street SnoballsPOOF knocked it out of the park with their passion fruit cotton candy and New Orleans Ice Cream blew us away with their ice cream poboys.
